The Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship Programme is designed to train and develop apprentices in a way that enables them to keep pace with advancing technology and high levels of customer service.

The comprehensive programme provides apprentices with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications, while in full-time employment.

Duties will include:

• Working alongside qualified technicians to conduct investigations, repairs and servicing of vehicles

• Producing estimates

• Carrying out diagnostics

• Warranty work

• Assisting with MOT's

• Other general technical duties and general housekeeping

• Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Training will take place via eight separate weeks of block release per year to Emtec College in Ruddington, Nottingham.

Additional information: The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.90 per hour from April 2019. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

• Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours on advert will be amended accordingly to fall in line with the legislation

• This apprenticeship is work based learning therefore most of the time you will be working at the employer's address.
